To My Dear Friend, I know it may surprise you because he had the impression that I am quite well off financially, but I’m actually not doing that well. I just never wanted to tell you because as you know I am a fairly private person and I’m self-conscious about discussing aspects of myself I am not comfortable with. My financial situation would fit this description. Even though I had what you considered a large amount of investments in the past for a person my age, my income was never high and at best barely above minimum wage. The only way I was able to keep my money was because my cost of living is so low. It was never my intention to give you this impression that I have a lot of money, I just kind of happened as I discuss things about my daily life and found myself unable to correct it. I have another secret related to this as well. I actually live with another family member and pay a small out of rent each month to keep my cost of living low. I never told you this because it’s embarrassing, so it was easier to just say I live with a roommate. Your Longtime Friend
