DEAR FAMILY MEMBER, I LOOK AT YOU WITH AWE AND WONDER, AS ONE MIGHT LOOK AT A RABID ANIMAL WHO THROWS ITSELF AGAINST A WALL, OR A SNAKE EATING ITS OWN TAIL, OR A CHILD WHO HURTS ANIMALS. YOU ARE THE CLOSEST THING TO THE DARK, DRIED UP, TWISTED PIT OF A ROTTEN FRUIT, THAT SCARES US ALL SO MUCH, THAT WE ALL AVOID LOOKING DOWN TO THE BOTTOM OF OUR OWN WELLS TO FACE IT. HOW CAN A PERSON BE SO ABUSIVE FOR SO MANY YEARS. HOW DO YOU NOT IMPLODE, HOW DO YOU NOT DASH YOURSELF AGAINST THE ROCKS OF YOUR OWN SOUL AND REPENT? HOW DO YOU NOT FALL OFF THE EDGE OF THE OCEAN AND SACRIFICE YOURSELF INTO THE VOID AND WISH TO AMEND THE PAIN YOU CAUSE. HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE WHEN YOU EAT POISON YOU MAKE POISON YOU POISON THE WORLD AROUND YOU AND THEN RAIL AGAINST THE WINDS YOU STIR AND BLAME THE RAIN FOR KILLING THE FLOWERS YOU MURDER. YOU DEFY NATURE. YOU DEFY KINDNESS. YOU DEFY YOURSELF. I THINK YOU MAY BE THE DEVIL AND I FEAR TASTING A SPECK OF YOUR SPIT IN MY MOUTH SO I KISS FLOWERS AND OPEN MY EYES TO THE STARS AND PRAY
