To my ex-wife:
Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I really don’t know why. Anyway, this thinking has brought me to this moment where I am writing you a letter. I won't sugar coat it, I know I was a bastard! I am still today! The one thing you wanted from me, I was not able to give. You wanted me to spend more time with you but I was always too busy. I put my business and money above my marriage and for that I am sorry. It is of any comfort, you are the only woman I ever loved. I guess I was simply unable to make a firm commitment. Many times when I am on a long lonely road, you come into my mind. When that happens, I can’t help but smile; after all, we did have some wonderful moments. Moments that haunt me today. Was I wrong? Did I make a mistake? I don’t really know. I wasted seven good years of your life. Seven years that you could have been with someone who truly deserved you. For this, I am sorry! If you ever need anything from me, please do not hesitate to call me. At the least I could do is take care of yourself.
Your Ex-husband - a man who couldn’t appreciate a good thing.
