Dear Former Best Friend, I wanted to tell you, finally, that it was me who told your new coworker what you really thought of her religious ways. That you're respectful to her face, even saying Grace before you eat lunch as if you were like her. I got sick of your hypocrisy. I knew of course that you didn't work Thursday nights and that would give me a chance to talk to her alone. I told her you didn't even believe in God and thought Christians were fake and cult-like. As I look back now I shouldn't have done that and I shouldn't have denied knowing anything about what happened to make her avoid you. Looking back now, I can see that overall you and her had a lot more in common than we ever did. And knowing now what you have both been through with your respective husbands, I can see that you both could have helped each other greatly despite any differences. I am sorry, I soured that budding friendship. I had no right to interfere. I hope you can accept my apology. I'm sorry. Me.
