Dear School Reform Commission: I am writing this letter today out of sheer frustration. I have devoted the last ten years of my professional life to teaching the children in your school district. I feel like if you had to spend one instructional day teaching at a neighborhood school in our city, you would not be able to do it. I have probably seen almost every imaginable classroom scenario in my years of teaching, and it's not a pretty sight. Four years ago you canceled our teacher's contract and imposed a freeze on wages. Our resources have dwindled to almost nothing as I sat at school today, I am being asked to do more and more work. However, I am being asked to do this work without a raise in four years! I sit here today with a negative bank account balance and no cash to my name. My mortgage bills and expenses have all risen. I am so sick of this situation. I don't even want to be a teacher anymore, but it is hard to find another job. You have destroyed this school district and cheated the students of our city. You have killed the spirit of talented teachers, and morale is at an all-time low. Pay me what I deserve! - A Teacher
