To My Father, When I was a young child I truly believed you loved me and we shared a special father-daughter bond. As I got older I began to question the true intentions of why you ignored my sisters and openly admitted I was your favorite. You were manipulating me into thinking I was special to you just to hurt my mom. Your goal was to convince me she hated me and you did. Eventually, she truly did start to hate me. You used me to get back or your wife who resented you well you were also convincing her I hated her. When the two of you divorced when I was 14, I was forced to stay with you. This is when I realized who I truly was to you. A pawn in your sick manipulative game. You never provided me even the most basic of necessities. I wanted to die. My mom hated me and you pretended I didn’t exist. When my mother married my stepfather, he was the only one who could see the neglect and abuse I was subjected to. I haven’t spoken to you in years and I have no plans to do so in the future. I will not be at your funeral. I mourned you a long time ago. Signed, the Daughter You Broke on Purpose.
