To The One Who Hurt Me, You really made a fool out of me. You told me about your rough upbringing and had me believe that you had changed. I removed you from the environment you so desperately wanted to break away from and we spent a year falling in love and making beautiful memories. I don't know why I stayed through the abuse and manipulation. I must have really loved you. I chose to stay and soon gave you the family you so longed for. You continued to assault me throughout my pregnancy and I realized I was starting to stay out of fear, rather than this twisted interpretation of what I thought was love. I gave birth to our beautiful miracle, and everything felt right in the world. I developed a sense of purpose at that moment. That is why the night we came from the hospital, you put your hands on me for the last time. I chose to give you all of me and you chose to abandon me and our newborn son. Nothing will ever be the same, but I believe we are better off without you. A New Mommy
